What services does Meruka offer to the community?
At Meruka, we strive to provide a safe and nurturing childcare environment, where all children are encouraged to grow, learn and develop at their own pace. Meruka provides full-time or part-time childcare for up to 35 children. The centre has three designated areas:
Babies (0-2 yrs) – 10 babies each day
Toddlers (2-3yrs) – 10 children each day
Children (3-6 yrs) – 15 children each day
Meruka is now running a Funded Kindergarten Program in our 3-6yr room. Meruka has an approved Early Childhood Teacher in the room 5 days a week.
The centre is open Monday to Friday between 7.00am and 6:30pm. The centre is closed on public holidays and for approximately two and a half weeks during the Christmas and New Year period.
Meruka has up to 10 staff members on duty each day and on occasion may have students participating in practical placements throughout the year.
